Departures (Okuribito)

Literally, it is a profession of 'encoffiner', the person who send off the dead people to the last journey of live- it is another 'departure' by narration of this movie. This movie is superb- excellently indicating that death can be tranquil; death can be reminiscent of elders and people who being loved; death can be a tradition that how people think of subtle gap between life and death; death can be a kiss with regrets;death can be a forgiveness.

It is about an untalented cellist became Okuribito. After the dismission of orchestra, he found a job which regarded as dirty and tainted job by the society. Touching a corpse is an embarrassment. At first, the job was described by the boss vaguely. But it could be seen as that this job could be undescribable-it has to be felt with intuition as well as experiences. I found that this job is respectable with depiction of that the main character felt proud of his job even though his wife and friend couldnt accept the nature of this job. The movie has a nice-flow. By the professsion performance of sending the death, it seemed very accurate and attentive. Through it audiences can be able to feel the meanings of death indeed.

Death served s a significant process of human life, is an transcending of life's pains. The pace of this movie was directed very fairly. Sometimes there is a humorous joke but you couldnt laugh. Death can be very peaceful. I was moved though i'm not a person who adherent to traditional rituals(although I feel very aggresive to chinese funeral practices-messy). In shory for this movie, I have a question-why don't watch it now?

By the way, initial contacting with this movie is through the soundtracks. Joe Hisaishi is a great musician that l love starting from studio Ghibli movies(if you don't know, just check and watch it, it need no any explanation). One of these tracks is called Ave Maria-literally mother'love. It is touching and thinkable music( you can get it from me). New road, another track is not my sms ringtone. Anyway, you should listen to it. a piece of movies
